Exercise involves prompting movements of the body in such a way that it improves function and relieves symptoms. For the rehabilitation process, specific stretching, strengthening and stabilization is extremely crucial. The most important thing is to do exercise on a regular basis for effective results and our goal is to make exercise a happy part of your day, not something you wish to avoid. We want you to love working out, therefore we create programs conducive to your needs but also your lifestyle. When you see your results, you'll thank us!
Exercise prescription is used for the sole purpose of improving your fitness or health. Our goal is to successfully integrate exercise and behavioral techniques into our plans to help motivate our patients to want to achieve overall health and well-being. Different types of sports exercise we might recommend for you include:
Aerobic exercises like walking or swimming
Anaerobics exercises like sprinting
Isotonic exercises like lifting weights
Resistance training exercises that include providing some form of resistance to the contracting muscles to stimulate the body to increase strength.
Our process begins with analyzing your current physical abilities and creating an exercise plan that fits your current needs. Our plans include what type of resistance we use, how many repetitions of each exercise, what the intensity levels are, what is the duration of the exercise, how frequent do you do this exercise, etc. Each week we will evaluate your progress in hopes of being able to increase your workout routine for better results in a shorter amount of time. Additionally, we monitor you to make sure you are not using the wrong form thus creating more injuries or issues down the line.
As many people know, exercise can effect so many parts of your physical and mental well-being. Evidence suggests it even can decrease the prevalence of colon cancer, endometrial cancer, osteoarthritis, obesity, fibromyalgia, and more. Even minimal activity can have positive health benefits and put you in an overall better mood.

We know it's a big step to take and can sometimes be hard to find the motivation to do it, but we are here every step of the way.
